Chelsea Fans Urge Eden Hazard to Come Back Home

Eden Hazard has hit another low with the Los Blancos after the club confirmed he has suffered another injury. Chelsea fans took to twitter wishing him well and urging him to return to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian international’s debut season fell short of expectations due to numerous injuries and poor form in the club. The former Chelsea talisman only played 16 league games and managed to score only one goal.

Doning the infamous number seven jersey in Real Madrid, Hazard was eager to put the past season behind him and focus on the 2020/21 La Liga season. Much to everyone’s dismay, Real Madrid confirmed he has suffered a muscle injury.

“Following tests carried out today on our player, Eden Hazard, by Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in his right leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed,” the club statement read.

In numerous interviews, Hazard expressed his dreams of joining Real Madrid and signing for the Spanish giants for 143 million euros (sh 18 billion) was a feather in his cap. This news came to the chagrin of Chelsea fans who had built up the 29-year-old to an iconic status in the London based club.

Hazard won two Premier League titles with Chelsea hence his memories are forever etched in the fans minds. Following the injury announcement, Chelsea fans took to twitter to share nostalgic videos of Hazard at the club as well as messages encouraging the Belgian international to come back home.

It seems unlikely that the reigning La Liga champions will sell the player just yet as they spent a fortune bringing him to the Spanish side. Furthermore, his 5-year-deal with the Los Blancos means his contract expires in 2024. Could he follow in Gareth Bale’s footsteps and return to a more familiar surrounding?
Only time will tell.
