On Wednesday, Mathare United who are clinging in the 15th place edged Ulinzi Stars 1-0 to dodge relegation zone by an inch. Vihiga United thrashed Kakamega Homeboyz at Bukhungu Stadium 3-1 threatening their ability to finish in the top ten position. Vihiga are now fighting hard to see if they can move out of the danger zone.
At Wundanyi Stadium, Sofapaka held Bandari in a 2-2 draw making the dockers remain in a safer place which is third with 50 points. Gor Mahia who started the season badly registered a slight win of 1-0 over Posta Rangers at Ruaraka Stadium. Gor remain in the 7th position with 45 points sharing with Nairobi City Stars and Wazito.
Elsewhere, Wazito thrashed Wester Stima 1-0 at Nakuru Show ASK Ground while KCB clinched a draw against AFC Leopards. Finally, Nzoia Sugar refused to allow Tusker crowned the champions after a 0-0 draw at Sudi Stadium. The brewers are still topping the log with 62 points, followed closely by the bankers with 59 points.
